Company History

Kady Books was created in 1990 with the first stories of Dorthy Kostroun.

Dorthy, while observing the humorous and sometimes unusual happenings in her backyard greenhouse, began to compose stories about these events for the amusement of her children and grandchildren.

Kelita Alberts brought these stories to life with her illustrations. Odist A. Frog, one of Dorthy's best loved characters, emerged along with all of his friends in the greenhouse of Miss Petunia Bed. Odist's name is actually a statement, a child's way of saying, "Oh, just a frog."

In the year 2001, Kady Books moved into the computer age with a brand new website. We hope you enjoy it!
